X on Ada Project

Most of the other Ada/X windows pages are no longer being maintained and it seemed a shame to let the work that had been done in the past stagnate so this project was created to at least bring the bindings back to the point of compiling with the lastest versions of GNAT .

Once, we got the bindings compiling again, the Linux for Ada Team built some RPMs that are useful under Linux (at least Redhat Linux). If you have Redhat go for the RPMs. If you have another Unix flavor, grab the tar file(s).

The RPMS:

• x11ada-devel-1.30-1.i386.rpm (X11-binding packages)
• x11ada-1.30-1.i386.rpm
• x11ada-motif-devel-1.30-1.i386.rpm (Motif-binding packages)
• x11ada-motif-1.30-1.i386.rpm (Motif-binding runtime)

TAR Versions for non RPM managed installations.

• x11ada_v1.30.tar.gz
• aforms-0_86_1.tar.gz

Another alternative is a combined X and Motif binding at http://ilaserv1.ila.uni-stuttgart.de/~vogt/programming.html .
